516-078 varyonvg: Incomplete device driver configuration.

Env:
  AIX 4.1.2
  DISK 9333  with 2gb serial-link disk drives

Desc:  
  When booting the system the customer gets this error message
  during the importvg phase

  516-078 varyonvg: Incomplete device driver configuration.
          Probable cause is the special file for the VG is 
          missing.  Execute varyoffvg followed by varyonvg to 
          build correct environment.

  0516-780 importvg unable to import volume group from hdisk0

Action:
  1.  lsvg
        The volume group does not show up
  2.  redefinevg -d hdisk\#  vgname
  3.  lsvg
         Now the vg shows up
  4.  varyonvg vgname
         Failes the same way 

  The customer has very large mirrored filesystems in the
  volume group.  Found a APAR which seems to match this
  problem closely:  APAR IX51047  

  1.  Installed this fix
  2.  bosboot -ad /dev/ipldevice
  3.  rebooted the system

Now the disk can be imported and exported without any problems
