0516-622 Cannot write Logical Volume Control Block

Question:

Env:
  AIX 3.2.5

Desc:
Customer just added a new OEM drive to the system. The
customer then added this disk to the rootvg and migrated hd1
to this drive. The customer then tried to increase /home by
20mb and got this error message:

0516-622 Cannot write Logical Volume Control Block

df did show that the filesystem did increase

Action:

   getlvcb -At hd1
     0 0 0

Looks like the logical volume control block is
     messed up

I made sure this was a filesystem and not a raw lv before
I had him run this command. NOTE: RUNNING THIS COMMAND ON
A RAW LOGICAL VOLUME CAN RESULT IN DATA CORRUPTION OR DATA
  LOSS.

  putlvcb -N hd1
  chfs -a size=+1 /home
This worked with out a problem
  getlvcb -At hd1
    looks correct now

Next Action:
  Closing with customer approval
