The command errors out with:
mount operation failed, device not available.
Yet the device is available when he does,

Had his issue this command for the drive that was not working:
mtlib -l /dev/lmcp0 -f /dev/rmt7 -qD

Then the customer logs these error messages

.The customer then noticed another lmcpd running, which was a child
process of the lmcpd (main one) Once the customer kills the child
