DB2 HowTo Visual Explain

Customer wants to know how to use the graphic explain tool/and
how much space can be used in a graphics tablespace.

    Q2  How to see how much space is used in a tablespace.
A1: Visual Explain is part of DB2DD,  but to get it to work you have to
    do a couple of steps 1st.
    1.  Connect to database.
    2.  Issue command db2 -tvf /u/inst/sqllib/misc/EXPLAIN.DDL
         you must do this for each database that you want explained.
    3.  This step only needs to be done for the Sample database.
        Issue command db2 -tvf /u/inst/sqllib/samples/ve/VESAMPL.DDL
    4.  Issue command db2dd &
    5.  Select Database.
    6.  Select Explain History Statements.
    
A2: tbspstat is a tool to check and see how much space is in your 
    tablespaces.
