NetView - Is the date an object discovered in any database?

Question:

Is the date an object is discovered kept in any of the databases?

Answer:

To find the creation time of an object, do this:

  ovtopodump -rl \

and look for the "CREATE TIME" field.

This is the time that the object was *discovered* by netmon, not
necessarily the time a symbol for that object was drawn on a map.

One caveat here is that if you run the utility "ovtopofix -A", all
of the creation times in the IP topology database are replaced
with the current time.
