job scheduler/daemon dies and leaves behind tcp/ip connections

problems with job scheduler/daemon dies and leaves behind tcp/ip
connections

ENV: AIX 3.2.5, Job scheduler, model 41T
DES: Job Scheduler is dying. When it does it stays connected to
a TCP port, so this port is hung. Wants to make it so Job
Scheduler is not started upon reboot.

ACT: Solved the problem. It turns out that TT6000 was stealing
port 5000 from Job scheduler. The Job Scheduler
documentation suggests using port 5000, so there's
a conflict. He set up Job Scheduler to use a different
port and then everything is fine. Customer also said that
there is a public domain program on the WEB called lsof
that works on AIX and it returns what ports are being used
        by what.
