NetView - How do I discover nodes that are many "hops" away

Question:

Question:

"How do I discover nodes in networks that are many "hops" away
from the managing station, especially if I do not want to
discover and manage all of the networks in between the managing
   station and the distant nodes?"

Answer:
I suggested either using a seed file or adding the nodes manually
with the user interface.

We've had some clients that want to manage different subnets that they have
devices on, but they do not "run" the networks in between the sites. I've
done a similar operation by manually adding the IP Network and then pinging
a known device on that segment. NetView pops the device on the segment map and
then will start the normal autodiscovery process on that network.

Just another option!
