NetView - Can I start ipmap from the command line?

Question:

Problem:

Normally, I start the NV4AIX user interface with /usr/bin/OV/nv6000.
This shell script executes ovw, which in turn kicks off the ipmap
application. Is there some way I could get ovw to start ipmap
with command line options, or is my only choice to stop
ipmap and restart it with the desired options?

Answer:

ipmap cannot be stopped and started independent of the user interface (ovw).
If you want to stop and restart the ipmap application, you must stop
the user interface with File..Exit, and then restart the user interface.
The safest way to restart the user interface is to type /usr/OV/bin/nv6000,
but, if you are confident that all of the daemons are running properly,
it is slightly faster to type "/usr/OV/bin/ovw &" to restart the user
interface.

BE AWARE: Environmental values are sometimes set by applications in the
/usr/OV/bin/nv6000 script.
