NetView - Removing View->Redo Layout from the menu

Question:

Problem:

 A non-netview aware user got hold of the mouse whilest I wasn't looking
 and did a View->Redo Layout of my locations map. Can I make a request
 for an Undo option or a Lock Layout toggle ?

Ans:
Once you do View..Redo Layout, you can't undo it.  You can remove
the option from the menu, though.  To remove the option from
the View menu, do this:

  Edit the file /usr/OV/registration/C/ovw
  Delete the line:
        \<100>   "Redo Layout"           _R      f.redolayout;

If you want to be really sophisticated, you can create multiple
registration subdirectories, and assign different users to different
subdirectories, so that multiple ovw registration files can be
maintained, some with redo layout permissions and others without.

This is done with an environment variable called $OVwRegDir.
