NetView for AIX support of AIX Version 4.1.x

Question:

Information as of 07/12/95:

 NetView for AIX support of AIX Version 4.1.x

 NetView for AIX Version 3:

   AIX Versions 4.1.1 and 4.1.2

     * NetView for AIX Version 3 supports AIX version 4.1.1 and 4.1.2.
     * In order to get NetView for AIX Version 3 to work on 4.1.1 and 4.1.2,
       you must install the NetView for AIX Version 3 Refresh Image.
       If you have NetView for AIX Version 3 installed on an AIX 3.2.5 system,
       and you wish to upgrade AIX to 4.1, you must FIRST install the
       NetView for AIX U438007 PTF before upgrading the operating system.
       This NetView for AIX PTF brings you to the same level as the NetView
       for AIX V3 Refresh Image.  Note: Do not try to install the Netview for
       AIX V3 Base image on AIX 4.1... it will not install.

   AIX Version 4.1.3

     * NetView for AIX Version 3 should work if you have AIX 4.1.3
       installed with *NO* SMP hardware installed.  The rules for
       installing NetView for AIX Version 3 in this case is the same
       as the rules for 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 above.
     * NetView for AIX Version 3 has not been tested with AIX 4.1.3 in
       an SMP environment.  Therefore, it is not supported at this time.
       It is our intention to test this, but a date for testing has not
       been set.

 NetView for AIX Version 4:

   AIX Versions 4.1.1 and 4.1.2

     * NetView for AIX Version 4 supports AIX version 4.1.1 and 4.1.2
     * No NetView for AIX PTFs should be necessary

   AIX Version 4.1.3

     * As with NetView for AIX Version 3, NetView for AIX Version 4 should
       work in non-SMP environments with AIX 4.1.3, but NetView for AIX
       Version 4 has not been tested in in an AIX 4.1.3 SMP environment.
       Therefore, it is not supported at this time.  It is our intention
       to test this, but a date for testing has not been set at this time.
