How to activate a menu function from within an application?
Question:
Question: How to activate a menu function from within an application?
Information:
In general, if you want to call a menu function from an OVwApplication,
you must use the OVwDoAction API call. It is documented in the
Programmer's Reference.
Here is the catch: In order to execute a menu function (an action) from
your application, the action must be registered in a registration file
in an "Action" block. To see an example of this, go into the
/usr/OV/registration/C directory and grep for the word "Action". You
will see that some applications register certain actions. Action blocks
are also described in the Programmer's Guide.
There is also a man page /usr/OV/man/man5/OVwRegIntro that gives the
basics of registration files.
