NetView V3R1 and SNMP communications - which interface?

Question:

Question:
It has been my obvservation in NetView V3R1 that the netmon daemon will
attempt SNMP communications with the first interface in the database only.
This creates multiple problems when the node is a router and the first
interface in the node is down, either administratively or operationally. In
many cases all other interfaces are still up but netmon won't attempt SNMP
 communications with the other interfaces.

Has this "bug" or design error been corrected in V4R1 or any PTFs for V3R1?

Information:
Good news. This "feature" has been changed in the PTFs that will are
scheduled to come out at the end of this month for Version 3 and
Version 4 of NetView for AIX. The PTF numbers are, I believe:

   V3: U439027
   V4: U438904 (Server)

With the proper PTF applied, if the IP address to which netmon sends
snmp requests goes down, netmon will look for an IP address in the node
that is up, and try the snmp request again.
