The stanford mailing list is moving to a new server.

Question:

Information as of 09/18/95:
 As the result of numerous requests by subscribers to this list and after
 discussion with the current owner, we have decided to provide a migration
 path from the current Majordomo server at Stanford to the LSoft LISTSERV
 server here at UCSB.  LISTSERV provides a number of very friendly features
 including archiving with a search mechanism and digests (a single email

 containing all of the contributions for a single day).

 To subscribe to this list, send a note to LISTSERV@UCSBVM.UCSB.EDU (NOT
 to the list) with the following line in the body of the message:

    SUBSCRIBE NV-L firstname lastname

 replacing 'firstname' and 'lastname' with your own name.  Your userid
 will then be mailed a verification message to validate its reachability
 by the server to which you will need to reply.

 To send contributions to be disseminated to the list, send email to
 NV-L@UCSBVM.UCSB.EDU, again noting this is NOT a Majordomo server.  Once
 you are accepted as a subscriber, you will be sent a message which
 includes information on obtaining additional help for the noted features.
