Error 0105-2706 when trying to start link station.

  AIX 3.2.5
  SNA server 2.1
  model: 580
Desc:
  Getting 0105-2706 error message when trying to start link station.
Action:
  There are several token ring errors in the error report, but these
   do not happen at the same time that the link station dies.

  Running a link station trace, we see nothing.
  In the sna service logs, we see MDD, IOCTL, and SAP errors.

  In DLC profile, change sap from 04 to 08.
   Verify profiles.
   Stop and restart SNA.

  Link station came up.

  Checked and there is a product, OCS Gateway, that is using SAP 04.
  This is what was happening, OCS was grabbing the SAP, and SNA could
   not use it.
  Changing the sap on either program will solve the problem.
