UUCP has stopped working; remote host is locked

ENV:  AIX 3.2.5

DESC:  Customer has been using UUCP for about 4 weeks, and has not had
any problems.  Today he is receiving a message in uulog indicating 
that the "other machine 2 is locked (call to _hostname_)".

... where _hostname_ is the name of the remote host.

ACT:  Had the customer perform the following:

  cd /var/spool/uucp/.Status
  rm _hostname_

Then, retry his uucp connection.  Also explained that this problem is
likely to occur if there was a connection problem (or break in the
communication) on the last uucp transaction.
