What are kslt, ksel and kbsp terminfo attributes?
Question:
Having trouble finding definitions for two commands in terminfo
Response:
Env:4.1.3
Desc:Customer wanted to know what the ksel and kbtab entry mean in the
wyse.ti file.
Act:I inform him that kbtab means backtab. The ksel entry I don't
have a clue. I search for kslt and ksel I didn't find any hits that will
explain these entries.
kslt=\\E[4~, ksel=\\E[4~
Next:b3ap
Response:
kslt is key_select in AIX extended curses AIX 3.2
ksel is key_select in ATT 3.2 curses in AIX 4.1.
See the README file in AIX 4.1 /usr/lib/terminfo:
Response:
What is the real problem.
Bar code equipment is not working. - This is unlikely caused by
a curses problem. Explained about using the script shell to look
at terminal data to see if the problem could be determined. Also
talked about using od to look at this command.
Explained about the update of curses in AIX 4.1 (ATT curses 3.2),
also that attributes were included because they were part of the
package. ksel is not included in either the O'Rielly Book or the
"UNIX Curses Explained" By Berny Goodheart fro Prentice Hall
which I recommended to the customer. It is included in AIX 3.2
info explorer. In any
case this has nothing to do with his real problem of trying to
read the bar code, which is an application vendor problem.
