ERROR MESSAGE SAYING THE DISK IS FULL BUT ITS NOT( 65% FREE)

DESC:   Customer says when her backup fails the target file system is   
        only 65% full and 592 MB free.  She gets sql 2419n which indicates
        that her file system is full.

ACT:    Confirmed her swap space was sufficient.
        Customer added space to the file system but the instance was not
        stopped before the file system changed.  Need to ensure that
        all processing stopped for ID before change takes place.
