Methods errors on tape after update_all

Env:

AIX 3.2.5 just upgraded, Model 530, 8mm 2.3 GB tape drive

Desc:

Customer was running update_all to upgrade to AIX 3.2.5. This
seemed to be successful but now the customer's tape drive is
showing up DEFINED and not AVAILABLE. When he tries to remove
and re-add the drive, he gets:

  0514-064: method error /etc/methods/cfgbus
  0514-064 cause not known
sh: 32658 memory fault (core dump)

Action:

Removed /etc/objrepos/config_lock and rebooted the system and
everything came up configured. Also, found the following to
explain this problem, which has been reported previously:
"Unfortunately, we cannot solve this problem now. What we have
is a situation when under specific conditions we may get this
type of error.

The conditions required to get this error are as following:

  1. block_size on the tape drive must be set to something
     otherthan 512.

  2. Update all must be selected, although it could happen
with another selection, but update all is more "robust".

Then after updating an operating system from 3.2.4 to 3.2.5
level, the system reconfigures the tape drive from 512 back to
the original block_size. Here is where the acutual failure
takes place: in /etc/methods/cfgsctape, because of a mismatch
between ksh, libcfg.a, and the new cfgsctape.

After system reboot everything comes back to normal, so there
is no negative effect on the system integrity.
