Logical volume maximum values

ENV: AIX 3.2.5

DESC: Customer would like to know the maximum number of partitions
for a logical volume. Also, what is the UPPER BOUND
        field in the lslv output?

ACT: By default, the maximum number of logical partitions that any
one logical volume can have is 128. You can change that maximum
value through SMIT up to 512 partitions (2 GB).

The "UPPER BOUND" field in the lslv output (set to 32 by
default) is the number of physical volumes that the logical
        volume can be spread over.
