queue daemon errors from rembak timeout

Env: AIX 3.2.5, XYLOGIC terminal server supporting lpd.

Question:
What causes acknowledgement timeout errors from remote system lpd?

D: Customer is experiencing this type of error messege: 

 0781-244 file acknowledgement sent but not received
 rembak error no =4:a system call received an interrupt

 0781-088 device staf-290 died running request /nff/nb
 This happens then his users print to a XYLOGIC terminal server which
has printers attached.  /tmp and /var are only 3% used with
more than 300 MB available.

 THE FOLLOWING PTFS NEED TO BE ORDERED:

The APAR that was sent for this problem was IX43800, and is included
in PTF U432958 (superceed of ordered PTF).
IX43800 Problem description:
 REMBAK TIMES OUT SENDING LARGE FILES TO PCS
 rembak times out waiting for acknowledgement when
 printing remotely to PCs

The timeout value for rembak is now configurable by a flag with
the -T timeout option.  The timeout value 

They will implement by putting this in the /etc/qconfig as
        backend = /usr/lpd/rembak -T 2

This should give a 2 minute timeout value for the acknowledgment.
