NFS client cannot see all files in a NFS mounted directory

Question:

The customer experienced a power failure. After the systems were 
brought back up, the NFS clients could not see some but not all files in 
their home directories (NFS mounted).

Response:

The NFS problem the customer was experiencing, turned out not to be a 
problem.  The customer was logging in as "root" user on the NFS client 
systems, root (user id=0) gets mapped to nobody in NFS unless the NFS 
server specifically grants root authority when the file system is 
exported.
