Guidelines
RequiredIf a menu bar is provided for the workspace, allow the user to turn it on
and off through a pop-up menu for the workspace.
RequiredBy default, do not display the menu bar, if one is provided for the
workspace. Allow the user to specify the default for the operating
environment.
RequiredAssign AltF10 and Alt Menu as the shortcut keys to invoke the pop-up menu
for the workspace.
RequiredIf your workspace supports toggling between the current user configuration
and the default configuration, assign Alt Shift Ctrl! as the shortcut that
initiates a configuration toggle.
RequiredWhen the user chooses Refresh from the workspace pop-up menu, redraw the
contents of the workspace and all windows in it, repairing any visual glitches
that might have inadvertently occurred.
RecommendedDesign the window manager to request user verification before proceeding
with a request to toggle between the default configuration and the
user-designed configuration.
