Volumes 1-2: Base Operating System and Extensions

These books contain reference information about the system calls, subroutines, macros, and statements associated with AIX base operating system run-time services and device services.

Volumes 5-6: Kernel and Subsystems

Volume 5 provides information needed to write kernel extensions, including kernel services provided in the AIX kernel, device drivers, and virtual file systems. Volume 6 provides the interface requirements for AIX subsystem programming. This book describes individual device drivers and the use of the device-related subroutines that control them.
