Fiber distributed data interface (FDDI) data link control (DLC FDDI) is a device manager that follows the generic interface definition (GDLC). This data link control (DLC) device manager provides a passthrough capability that allows transparent data flow as well as an access procedure to the transfer four types of data over a FDDI network:
The access procedure relies on functions provided by the FDDI Device Handler and the FDDI Network Bus Master adapter to transfer data with address checking, token generation, or frame check sequences.
