AIX Xstation Manager Package

The AIX AIX Xstation Manager/6000 package contains the code necessary to configure and support models of the IBM Xstation.

Fileset Names

X11.x_st_mgr.rte	AIX Xstation Manager/6000 code This fileset contains all of the code for the AIX Xstation Manager/6000 that is not obsolete.
X11.x_st_mgr.compat	AIX Xstation Manager/6000 obsolete code This fileset contains all of the code that is provided on the host by X11 or that has been replaced by another tool in the AIX Xstation Manager/6000 code.

Approximate Disk Space Required

The AIX Xstation Manager product requires approximately 8.5 MB of disk space.

Special Installation Notes

Stop processes before installing this package.

If Network Information Services (NIS) is being run on the host, make sure that changes to the /etc/services file are made in the master services file and that the Xstation is in the master /etc/hosts file or its equivalent.

Special Migration Notes

Save the /etc/bootptab files and the directory tree starting at the /etc/x_st_mgr file.
