Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) LAN Emulation is designed for customers who require ATM connectivity for applications that normally operate over an ethernet or token-ring LAN. This capability is based on The ATM Forum Technical Committee LAN Emulation Over ATM Version 1.0 specification. This package contains one fileset, bos.atm.atmle.
The ATM LAN Emulation Client Support software requires approximately 0.6 megabytes of disk space.
Requisite software must be installed before or with the filesets you are installing from this package.
After the ATM LAN Emulation Client Support package has been installed, at least one ATM LANE Client must be added to the system to communicate over an ATM network using the ATM Forum LANE protocol. A user with root authority can add ethernet or token-ring clients using the smit atmle_panel fast path.
