ifor_ls.base filesets need to be installed before the license manager can be
configured. This comes on the installation cd for AIX version 4.3. For AIX
versions 4.1 and 4.2, download if from the IBM website :-

http://www.software.ibm.com/is/lum 


To start the configuration run :-

/var/ifor/i4cfg -script

 until all licensing daemons are stopped", answer yes to terminate the
 licensing daemons.}

{At this point you may be told that the "default.ini" file does not
 exist. Exit the script and run /usr/opt/ifor/ls/bin/i4cnvini to
 correct this problem and then start again.}

From a License Management point of view,
you can choose to configure this system as:

     1) Network License Client 
     2) Nodelock License Server (and/or Network License Client)
     3) Network (and/or Nodelock) License Server
     4) Central Registry (and/or Network and/or Nodelock) License Server (*)

(*) Remember that one and only one Central Registry License Server (i4gdb daemon)
    can be active in a Licensing domain.

To add the license to the server, run the following command :-

/var/ifor/i4blt -a -n {server hostname} -f {license file} 
-R u -T {number of licenses}

example :-

/var/ifor/i4blt -a -n homer -f /usr/vac/c44aix_cn.lic -R u -T 5
