1, From the installation media, install the following lpp :-

   X11.apps.xdm

2, To setup the font server with the System Resource Controller run the
   following setup script :-

   /usr/lpp/X11/lib/X11/xdm/xdmconf

   This will uncomment the xdm entry in /etc/rc.tcpip, will create xdm as
   a subsystem and will also disable dtlogin.

   /usr/lpp/X11/lib/X11/xdm/xdmconf -d (will delete xfs setup)

3, Start the font server :-

   startsrc -s xdm
