IBM Intellistation/IBM PC - How to Install the IBM Intermediate Driver in LAN Client Control Manager (LCCM)

This document explains how to install the intermediate, or "wedge" driver for IBM LAN Client Control Manager (LCCM).
To Install the IBM Intermediate Driver:
1. From the Windows NT desktop, click on the Start button.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Control Panel.
4. Double-click on Network.
5. Click on the Protocols tab, click on Add, then click on Have Disk.
6. In the Path box, type C:\IBMTCPIP\WEDGE or Drive:\directory name\WEDGE of the directory that contains the WEDGE subdirectory
7. The Select OEM Option box appears. IBM Intermediate Support Driver should be highlighted.
Note: If IBM Intermediate Support Driver is not highlighted, you typed the wrong path in the previous step. Check the path and directory you selected previously, then try again.
Click on OK to install the driver. You will be returned to the Network Setup window. Click on Close.
8. Shut down and restart your server. The new driver will be installed when the server restarts.
