IBM IntelliStation/IBM PC - IDE hard file not seen in Windows NT 3.51 SCSI configuration

SYMPTOM:
After installing both IDE and SCSI hard files, the IDE hard file is not recognized after installing Windows NT 3.51.

PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:
This tip may apply to all models of IBM PC and IntelliStation systems configured in the following manner:

1. A SCSI hard file is installed as the bootable drive C:>.
2. An IDE hard file is installed as a secondary drive.
3. WindowsNT 3.51 is then installed on the system.

FIX:
After completing the installation, "Atdisk" must be started via Control Panel, Devices:

1. In the "Main" folder, double click Control Panel icon.
2. Double click the Devices icon.
3. Scroll down the devices list and highlight "Atdisk."
4. Click on Startup, and set the startup type to System.
5. Save the changes and restart Windows NT.
