Source: Announcement letter A92-247
The PS/1 2123 was released in April, 1992. The processor was kept as an 80386SX, a math co-processor socket was added along with 2 open 72 pin SIMM sockets and a third AT-slot. Internal modems were not included. The 4-Quad User Interface was not maintained. DOS 4.01 was upgraded to DOS 5.0. NOTE: Due to the age of the system, the Options for the 2123 are no longer orderable from IBM.

Memory:
2MB Standard on the planar and 2 open SIMM sockets. Memory can be upgraded using any combination of 1MB, 2MB, 4MB or 8MB SIMMs. To obtain maximum addressable memory of 16MB, two 8MB SIMMs are required. Memory above 16MB is not addressed. After adding memory you need to boot with the Starter Diskette and run AutoConfig.
