SYMPTOM:
Trouble using infrared to beam at distances greater than 24" with the 2MB IR Upgrade
CONFIGURATION:
WorkPad 8602-10U with the optional 2 MB IR upgrade installed
SOLUTION:
The maximum infrared beam distance with IBM 2MB IR Upgrade card may vary from 24" to 39". This beam distance variation is dependent on the age and condition of the power supply in the organizer and of the power supply in the receiving organizer. For best results, IBM recommends that you point your IR port directly at the IR port of the receiving unit and maintain a beam distance between 3" and 24".
