WaveRunner Adapter - Removing the Windows 95 Beta Installation
Applicable to: World-Wide
For PCMCIA, follow all instructions with card installed until instructed otherwise:
Removing network adapter
1 .Click Start
2. Select Settings
3. Choose Control Panel
4. Double-click Network
5. Select WaveRunner ISDN Adapter
6. Click Remove
7. Click OK
8. DO NOT REBOOT WHEN PROMPTED. It won't hurt anything, but is unnecessary, yet and is slow.
Removing INF files (ISA/MCA)
1. Delete \WINDOWS\INF\WVRUNNER.INF
2. Delete \WINDOWS\INF\NDISWAN2.INF
3. Delete \WINDOWS\INF\DRVIDX.BIN
4. Delete \WINDOWS\INF\DRVDATA.BIN
5. Reboot
Removing INF files (PCMCIA)
1 .Click Start
2. Choose Find
3. Select Files or Folders
4. In the Named field, type *.INF
5. Use the Browse button to locate the WINDOWS\INF directory
6. Select the Advanced tab
7. In the Containing Text field, type 0A16
8. Click Find Now
9. If found, delete from \WINDOWS\INF the following:
WRMULT.INF
MULTWR.INF
WRPCC.INF
OEM???.INF
10- Delete \WINDOWS\INF\WVRUNNER.INF
11. Delete \WINDOWS\INF\NDISWAN2.INF
12. Delete \WINDOWS\INF\DRVIDX.BIN
13. Delete \WINDOWS\INF\DRVDATA.BIN
14, DO NOT REBOOT YET
Removing the adapter from the System Device Manager (PCMCIA)
1 . Click Start
2. Select Settings
3. Choose Control Panel
4. Double-click on the System icon
5. Click the Device Manager tab
6. Expand MultiFunction Adapters
7. Select WaveRunner PCMCIA ISDN/Analog Modem
8. Click Remove
9. Click Ok
10. Remove the WaveRunner card
11. Reboot
