In response to requests for a greater selection of ThinkPad mobile solutions, IBM created the innovative ThinkPad ProvenTM program. Collaborating with other industry-leading manufacturers, IBM opens the door to a wider variety of products, services and technologies that enhance and protect your ThinkPad investment.
Expanding your options
ThinkPad Proven offers quality third-party options such as memory, security, power accessories and storage devices that provide additional function and flexibility for your ThinkPad anytime, anywhere.
ThinkPad Proven promise
Before a participating vendor can use the ThinkPad Proven emblem, the manufacturer must state that the product has been tested and warranted by the manufacturer, and will be supported according to IBM's demanding ThinkPad Compatibility Standards. Specifically,
o The product has been approved for use on specific ThinkPad notebook models, as evidenced by the ThinkPad Proven emblem on the package.
o The manufacturer has stated to IBM that the IBM-developed test procedure has been completed and the product is in full compliance with ThinkPad Compatibility Standards.
o The product is warranted by the third-party manufacturer for a minimum of one year and in most cases, for three years (90 days for software).
o The manufacturer meets or exceeds specific customer support standards to participate in the ThinkPad Proven program.
The best pass the test
Only those industry-leading vendors that satisfy tough ThinkPad Compatibility Standards are permitted to display the ThinkPad Proven emblem on packaging and promotional materials. In addition, IBM is continually adding solutions that maximize the functionality of your ThinkPad to the program.
