Crossbrand - NT repair process fails when CD-ROM drive not recognized

Symptom:
When attempting to run the NT repair process, the process will fail if there is no recognized CD-ROM drive in the system. The only option will be F3 to exit the process.
Configuration:
Any platform running NT 4.0 with or without Service Packs applied.
Solution:
Copy the file setupdd.sys from the i386 directory of the NT Service Pack 3 to the second NT boot diskette. This will overwrite the copy of setupdd.sys on the diskette. The date of the old file is 1996 (day and month can vary); the new file is 4/30/97.
Additional information:
Simply creating the three boot diskettes from a machine with Service Pack 3 applied will NOT correct this problem. Boot diskette number 2 will still have the older file. You must manually copy the updated setupdd.sys from the Service Pack directory to the boot diskette.
