This drive comes with the latest level of Ontrack Disk Manager Disk Go! software that:
Provides worry-free installation in just minutes
Enables use of full capacity of drives, despite hardware or operating system limitations that would limit capacity to 2.1GB, 4.2GB, or 8.4GB

This drive has Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) compatible with IBM's S.M.A.R.T. Reaction software. S.M.A.R.T. can provide advanced warning of predictable impending hard drive failure. S.M.A.R.T. Reaction can perform unattended backup of customer data from such drives before they fail. Drives predicting failure within the warranty period become immediately eligible for replacement at IBM's expense.
