IBM PC300GL (Type 6272, 6282, 6284) - Lockups or palette shifting when using Novell NetWare

Problem:
Lockups or palette shifting running Novell.

Solution:
Install the latest video drivers using the following method in order to disable bitmap buffering. This method should be followed every time the drivers are upgraded in the future.

1. Change the video driver on the system back to "Standard VGA".
2. Delete CIRR.INF and CIRRUS.INF from C:\WINDOWS\INF and any other directories on the hard drive.
3. Edit the CIRRUS.INF on the latest Cirrus Logic video driver diskette. Add this line to the end of the [5446.AddReg] section:HKR,INFO,DrvFeatureCtrl,1,5A,00,00,00
4. Re-install the Cirrus Logic video drivers using this diskette.
