Home Director Professional - DC Blocker removal may cause equipment to be destroyed

Applicable to: Canada, United States

DC Blockers are installed and shipped in Home Network Control Centers (HNCC). When DC voltage is required on a coax cable to support internally generated signals, the DC Blocker is removed. Caution needs to be exercised when removing DC Blockers, since removing a Blocker will allow voltage to pass through to the device on the other end. If this device is a TV or VCR that is not prepared to receive voltage, the device(s) may be harmed. If an Installer or Homeowner is unaware of the proper use of DC Blockers, further assistance must be sought. When in doubt, the DC Blocker should be used until its use is totally understood
