National Semiconductor Trusted Platform Module (TPM) driver for Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP version 5.0.47.2006 Installation README This package installs a device driver for the National Semiconductor TPM module that comes preinstalled in select systems. This update requires approximately 300KB of space on your hard drive. The TPM Device Driver (TDD) is a Windows XP driver for the National TPM module, as incorporated into a range of Advanced I/O devices. The TPM Device Driver Library (TDDL) is a device driver library, a DLL file implementing an abstraction layer of the driver as defined in the TCG Software Stack Specification versions 1.1/1.2. You must have administrator privileges to install or update the driver. This package is intended for any of the following systems that shipped with the National Semiconductor TPM module: - ThinkCentre A52 (type 8153, 8154, 8155, 8156, 8157, 8158, 8159, 8160, 8161, 8162, 8163, 8164, 8165, 8166, 8167, 8168, 8169, 8170) - ThinkCentre M52 (type 8099, 8110, 8111, 8112, 8113, 8114, 8115, 8116, 8211, 8212, 8213, 8214, 8215, 9210, 9211) Print this file so that you can refer to it during installation. Downloading the update ---------------------- 1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page. 2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file. Extracting the update --------------------- 1. Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files and folders. 2. Type q1tpm01us13.exe in the search field, then click Find Now. This will locate the file you just downloaded. 3. Double-click the q1tpm01us13.exe icon. 4. Click Next. Read the license agreement. 5. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 6. Click Next. Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to C:\ibmtools\drivers\q1tpm01us13. 7. Click Next. 8. Click Finish. Installing the update --------------------- 1. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel. 2. Double-click Add hardware. 3. Click Next. The system will search for added hardware. 4. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the device driver.
