PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS: This tip applies to the following machine types equipped with a S3 Trio3D video chipset and running Windows95/98 or WindowsNT. IBM PC300GL Series 6275/6285 IBM PC300PL Series 6862/6892 IBM Netfinity 3000 Series 8476 The transparency will only affect one precise color in the window being dragged, or placed over the window containing the video clip. All other colors in the top window will remain non-transparent (solid). FIX: The color transparency condition is not a hardware or software defect. No fix is required. Each video clip specifies a "color key", or precise color value that the video clip will show through. The S3 Trio3D chipset uses this "color key" to overlay a video image with any image containing the same color. To work around this feature, simply minimize the window containing the video image, or any window placed over the video image. Windows95/98 and WindowsNT are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation.
