PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS: This tip applies to IBM PC300PL Series 6562/6592 systems equipped with an integrated stereo audio controller on the system board. The poor audio quality, or distortion, will worsen as the Record Volume is increased to maximum. NOTE: OEM audio adapters are not affected. FIX: The recording quality condition can be eliminated by placing a check in the "Mute" box under the "Line In" control column in the "Crystal Audio System Mixer" recording control Window.
