 Abstract:  PHOTOSHOP 3.0 INSTALLATION CAUSES GPF IN WINDOWS 95


 SYMPTOM:
 When using a resolution of 1024x768x256 or 1024x768x64k
 in Windows95, attempting to install Adobe PhotoShop 3.0
 (Setup.exe) causes a General Protection Fault (GPF).

 PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:
 This tip applies to IBM IntelliStation E-Pro Series 6893
 systems pre-configured with a Permedia 2A AGP video
 adapter, and pre-loaded with Windows95 OSR2.5.

 The following resolutions and color depths are affected:

   1024x768x256 Colors    Small & Large Fonts
   1024x768x64k Colors    Small & Large Fonts

   Refresh Rate set to "Optimal"

 FIX:
 None for Adobe PhotoShop version 3.0.

 The customer must upgrade to Adobe PhotoShop version 4.0
 or higher.
