To create a diskette use the following procedure: 1. Place the image file in a temporary directory. 2. Insert a blank diskette into an internal or USB floppy drive. 3. In the same directory as the image file, type the following command: dd if= of= where is something like /dev/fd0 for an IDE floppy drive or /dev/sda for a USB floppy drive. 4. During SLES9 installation, press F6 at the initial boot screen. When prompted, insert the diskette created in step 3. --- The binary RPM file is for upgrading the mptsas driver on an existing installation of Linux. To upgrade the driver, follow the instructions provided with your Linux distribution. --- If you are using a non-standard kernel, you may need to build a new driver using the source RPM.
