BIOS Version 1.33 - Build PME133A - Enhanced ASF for server/workstation models - Fixed SMBIOS information - Added POST code to detect additional memory failure conditions - Changed floppy drive reporting when not present - Fixed JCMOS1 jumper support BIOS Version 1.30 - Build PME130A - Change Fan 3 from 0 RPM to NA - Fix Wake on LAN problem - Enhanced memory sparing - E0 processor microcode added - Fixed issue with 5 or more SCSI drives BIOS Version 1.28 - Build PME128A - Fix ACPI stress test failures BIOS Version 1.27 - Build PME127A - Initial release 3.0 Installation and Setup Instructions The procedure to update the POST/BIOS is as follows: 3.1 Insert the "IBM POST/BIOS Flash Update" media for the x226/Z20 xSeries system into drive A:. 3.2 Start up or restart your IBM system. 3.3 The system will boot off of the update media and automatically update the system BIOS. 3.4 On the first system boot after updating the BIOS, select the Setup Utility with the F1 key; then, select the "Load Default Settings" option. Select the "Save Settings" option, and hit 'y' to save. Then, select "Exit Setup" to exit the utility, and, finally, accept the displayed 'Y' option under "Save and exit the setup utility?" 3.5 If you are updating from a floppy diskette and wish to save your current BIOS to a file, mofify 'autoexec.bat' to include the backup '/bu' parameter. Current system BIOS will be saved to a file named 'BIOS.BAK'. 4.0 Configuration Information The following instructions can be used to update SMBIOS and VPD information. 4.1 e.g. Machine Type: 84822RU Serial # : KPAM630 UUID : ... 4.2 First boot the system using a DOS diskette.
