Changed the README.TXT version number to match the internal version of the system management device driver so that all software, written and verbal references that identify the driver version will be consistent. 2.2 Advanced System Management Device Driver version 1.32 to 1.33 For xSeries servers running SCO UnixWare or Caldera Open UNIX: Added support for xSeries model 440 server. 2.3 Advanced System Management Device Driver version 1.31 to 1.32 For xSeries servers running NetWare with the Remote Supervisor Adapter and Netfinity server models 8500R and 7000-M10 running NetWare with the Advanced System Management PCI Adapter: Fixed a problem in the NetWare driver that caused an ABEND when the server was downed while IBM Director was running. 2.4 Advanced System Management Device Driver version 1.30 to 1.31 Added support for future xSeries servers. 3.0 System Management Device Driver installation instructions -------------------------------------------------------------- Note: The IBM Director application program must be stopped before any of these service processor device drivers can be installed. Please refer to IBM Director documentation for instructions on how to stop the program. By following the installation instructions shown below, the correct System Management Device Driver will be automatically installed onto your server. If the installation is being done from this diskette, insert this diskette into the server's floppy diskette drive, bring up a command prompt window, screen, or session, and enter one of the following commands. The examples shown below assume the floppy drive is A:. If the installation is being done from the Advanced Systems Management Utilities CD-ROM, insert this CD-ROM into the server's CD-ROM drive, bring up a command prompt window, screen, or session, and enter one of the following commands. The examples shown below assume the CD-ROM drive is D:. For OS/2, type: A:\OS2\SETUP (if installation is from a diskette) or D:\DD\OS2\SETUP (if installation is from a CD-ROM) Follow the directions that appear on the screen For Novell NetWare type one of the following lines in the System Console Session: LOAD A:\NETWARE\SETUP (if installation is from a diskette) or LOAD D:\DD\NETWARE\SETUP (if installation is from a CD-ROM) Follow the directions that appear on the screen For SCO UnixWare and Caldera Open UNIX: NOTE: The system management driver files are now supplied on this diskette in the data stream format to preserve the case sensitivity of the driver file names. All of the following commands that are entered in a shell prompt are case-sensitive.
