CONTENTS ________ 1.0 Installation Instructions 2.0 Directory Structure 3.0 Changes - Known Limitations 4.0 Trademarks and Notices 5.0 Disclaimer 1.0 Installation Instructions The downloadable file in this package is a self-extracting ZIP file containing the OS/2 Warp NDIS2 device driver ( IBMTRP.OS2 ) and its associated files 1. Download the self-extracting ZIP file os2ndisp.exe to the drive and directory of your choice. 2. Execute os2ndisp.exe from a command prompt to unzip the file. A path can be specified after the self-extracting zip file name in order to expand the zip file to a location other than the current directory (example: os2ndisp x:\ - where x is a drive letter). If a path is not specified, the self-extracting zip file will be unzipp ed into the current directory. Refer to the directory structure in the Additional Information section for details on the subdirectory structure the self-extracting zip file will create. 3. After unzipping the file, refer to the appropriate User's Guide for your adapter (IBM Token-Ring PCI Family Adapter User's Guide, one of the IBM Token-Ring PCI Management Adapter User's Guides, or the IBM 16/4 Token-Ring CardBus Adapter User's Guide) for complete instructions for installing the device driver. Co-requisites: IMPORTANT: If using the IBM 16/4 Token-Ring CardBus Adapter, make certain that the OS/2 Point Enabler CB_PEOS2.SYS is also installed in addition to the device driver IBMTRP.OS2. For details, refer to Chapter 4: Point enablers and Card and Socket Services in the IbM 16/4 Token-Ring CardBus Adapter User's Guide. 2.0 Directory Structure See IBM Token-Ring Features for details. 2.1 Directory Structure for OS2NDISP.EXE Directory of X:\ 05/25/00 11:47a 11,980 CB_PEOS2.SYS 12/22/99 12:37p 3,288 CB_PEOS2.DOC 02/20/00 04:03p 1,984 IBMTRP.DOC 02/18/00 02:12p 14,894 IBMTRP.NIF 12/22/99 01:30p 116,788 IBMTRP.OS2 08/11/98 04:08p 20,657 LA1H.MSG 08/11/98 04:08p 3,624 LA1.MSG 7 File(s) 173,215 bytes 3.0 Change History Fixes in this Package: 3.1 IBMTRP.OS2 Version 2.04a contains the following fixes and enhancements over the previously released version, version 2.04: Fixes *Updated OS/2 point enabler for IBM 16/4 Token-Ring CardBus Adapter ( CB_PEOS2.SYS ) to add support for the entire IBM ThinkPad 600 series and IBM ThinkPad T20.
