What This Packages Does
-----------------------
This package provides the utility the 3Com Managed Boot Agent for the
"IBM 10/100 Ethernet Mini PCI Adapter with 56K Modem(3Com)".

This release supports the following systems:

  - ThinkPad T20(*1)
  - ThinkPad X20(*1)
  - ThinkPad A21m(*1), A21p(*1), A21e(*1)
  - ThinkPad T21(*1)

  - ThinkPad X21(*1)
  - ThinkPad T23(*1)
(Note) *1: With "IBM 10/100 Ethernet Mini PCI Adapter with 56K Modem
           (3Com)" option.

To determine if you should update the Managed Boot Agent, refer to
the "Summary of Changes" section.

To update the Managed Boot Agent, refer to the "Installation

Version 4.32	  Fix to prevent system hang on reboots when the OS  
                    does not shut down the card.

Installation Instructions
-------------------------
 1. Confirm that the "IBM 10/100 Ethernet Mini PCI Adapter with 56K 
    Modem(3Com)" is installed in the system.
 2. Boot the system with the 3Com Managed Boot Agent diskette. This
    will automatically update the managed boot agent.
 3. After the boot agent is updated ("ROM successfully updated), power
    off the system.

Determining which version is installed
--------------------------------------
 1. Confirm that the "IBM 10/100 Ethernet Mini PCI Adapter with 56K 
    Modem(3Com)" is installed in the system.
 2. Boot the system to a DOS prompt.
 3. Insert the 3Com Managed Boot Agent diskette.
 4. Type 'a:\mbacfg /i' at the command prompt.  This will display
    the Managed Boot Agent Version (NIC-resident MBA Version:  x.xx).
