README

This package installs an update to the Microsoft(R) Windows(R)
98 SE device driver for the Scrollpoint III mouse that comes 
with your IBM computer. This update requires approximately 1.30MB 
of space on your hard disk (drive C).

This update package is intended for IBM NetVista machine types
2179-xxx and 6643-xxx that come with a Scrollpoint III mouse.

Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation.  


Downloading the update
----------------------
1.  Click the file link to download the file from the Web page. 
2.  When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save
    the downloaded file.


Installing the update
---------------------
1.  Click Start.
2.  Click Find.
3.  Click Files and folders. 
4.  Type qj5z05us.exe in the search box. 
5.  Click Find Now. This will locate the qj5z05us.exe file you just
    downloaded.
6.  Double-click the icon for qj5z05us.exe.
7.  Click Next. 
8.  Read the license agreement. 
9.  Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 
10. Click Next. 
11. Ensure that Save files in folder is set to C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\QJ5Z05US.
12. Click Next. 
13. Follow the onscreen prompts and choose to reboot at the end of
    installation.
