nVidia Display Driver for Windows 2000 version 6.50 Installation Readme This package installs a display driver in Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 2000 for the following display adapters: nVidia Vanta LT, nVidia RIVA TNT2 M64, nVidia GeForce DDR, ELSA GLoria II, nVidia GeForce2 MX, nVidia Quadro2 MXR, nVidia GeForce2 GTS, and nVidia Quadro2 Pro. This update requires approximately 9 MB of space on your hard disk drive (C:). Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation. Downloading the update ---------------------- 1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page. 2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file. Extracting the update --------------------- 1. Click Start, then select Find, then click Files or Folders. 2. Type e75z17us.exe in the search box, then click Find Now. This will locate the e75z17us.exe file you just downloaded. 3. Double-click the icon for e75z17us.exe. 4. Click Next. 5. Read the license agreement. 6. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 7. Click Next. 8. Ensure that Save files in folder is set to C:\IBMTOOLS\Drivers\E75Z17US. 9. Click Next. 10. Follow the onscreen prompts and choose to reboot at the end of installation. Manually installing the update ------------------------------ 1. Click Start, then Settings, then click Control Panel 2. Select Display. 3. Click the Settings tab. 4. Select Advanced. 5. Select Adapter. 6. Select Properties. 7. Select Driver. 8. Select Update Driver. 9. Click Next. 10. Click Next. 11. If the "Specify a Location" checkbox has not been selected, do so. 12. Click Next. 13. In the "Copy Manufacturer's files from:" dialog box, enter C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\E75Z17US. 14. Click OK. 15. Click the box next to "Install one of the other drivers". 16. Click Next. 17. Select the NVIDIA driver from the list. Click Next. 18. Click Finish. 19. Click Close. Windows 2000 will ask you to restart. 20. Click Yes.
