Instructions for installing the PCMCIA utility for the ThinkPad 760E/EL/ELD/ED This file will reduce the heat generated in the PCMCIA socket when using Windows 95** when a PCMCIA modem is in use. File required: TPTHRCTL.VXD 8909 bytes, CRC=x'D1C8' Installaion Guide: Copy TPTHRCTL.VXD to c:\windows\system Edit c:\windows\system.ini file and add the following line under the "386enh" section: device=TPTHRCTL.VXD Reboot the system. This will enable the utility. It will then be effective during serial communication of the modem card.
